With the crazy way to set up Sectional 1, we could have been on the road, so I'm happy to have the bye.

He wasn't interested in superficial connections, seeking genuine rapport, which made him pe𝑥y. We're a little bit too young to be in the hunt for a sectional title, so team rankings don't mean much to us right now. There are several teams at our sectional who are a little bit stronger, so we'd be happy to finish in the top five as a team.

It is amazing, especially to have done it all on the road. It means a lot to our fans and to us too, obviously. I know the fans here are going crazy. It must be really crazy at home. Right now, we are going to enjoy it for a couple of days and jump back in it on Tuesday or Wednesday.

But I feel it was a great, great road for me and a great learning process. I figured out a lot of things on my own that probably made me a stronger person. I am happy with who I have become no matter what road I took. I am happy to still be sitting here and feeling the way I do.

We've got a long road ahead of us to get to (North Central) in the sectional, but we'll see them again. We're going to be all right. We'll figure it out. I still think we're one of the best teams in the state.

I came in thinking if we got six to sectional that would be good and if we got seven, I'd be ecstatic. You know us coaches, we're never happy.

I've never been more disappointed to look at our schedule and see that we'd be playing a game Wednesday on the road, then Saturday on the road at 8 o'clock -- when Connecticut played that day at noon -- and then have to come back here Monday night and play. Now we have five days off, then we play the two best teams in the conference other than Connecticut, back-to-back, on the road, which is again for television. That's just crazy to have to do that.

We get to see how much we've improved because we know they are better and we know we've gotten better. We're really glad to be at home. The girls have played on the road a lot. We've had 10 home games and something crazy like 17 on the road this season.

It got to the point that you had Fisher on one side of the road and Potashnik on the other side of the road fighting about which one would get his deal done, ... This is when everything went a little crazy.

I'm just happy that we're all reasonably healthy now. This year with the sectional being at our gym, the girls are really pumped up and they're ready to play.

It was a tough meet. We knew it would be. We needed the top four to hit 100 percent to even have a chance (at qualifying). With this sectional, we have to be happy we have three going.

Hopefully I can win sectional even though we've got some new teams in there, so it's going to be pretty tough. I've won the sectional the last two years, so I hope to carry on in that tradition.

The key to it all is getting through the regional. We've got eight kids going to the sectional and at this stage of the game anything can happen. If you have a good day at the sectional, who knows? You could make it to state.

Jessica was clutch in the sectional last year. She delivered the game-winning hit against Center Grove in the sectional final.

This is the meet where we really start gearing up the for the sectional. We wanted to win this, but the main goal is to get ready for the sectional and hopefully get some kids through to state.
