If we lost that first game at Alabama, our kids would be questioning themselves. We accomplished that. To come back and play an experienced team like South Carolina and win, it helps with our confidence.

Unfortunately they've lost some close games, but I don't look at a team as good or bad if two or three games were decided by three points either way. Arkansas played really well at home against South Carolina, and we'll have to be much better than we were against Alabama.

A lot is made on the outside. The key is keeping your team focused on the inside. They are a team like us. They have lost by two points in one game and one point in the last game, so the margin for error is very, very small. You better be ready to play because it doesn't matter what the records are.

I could feel they were on top of their game. The only way we could ever get going was to get on top of our game. When you play a team as good as South Alabama, you can't start off as poorly as we did.

I am very proud of our team. That is the best we have played. We came back from some adverse situations against a really, really good team. South Alabama can really hit. We continue to get better at-bats each game. This was a great win.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

South Carolina's the one team that probably handled us easier than anybody all year long. They took it to us in Columbia three weeks ago. They're a very experienced team. We've got to be ready.

We've had chances, like Carolina, ... I was disappointed as I've ever been after that game sitting in my locker. I'm thinking to myself, 'We came back. We gave it a run.' But that's not enough in my mind. It makes me start questioning, 'Do I still have the magic or whatever?' Because I've always felt that I could give this team an edge.

Their confidence factor is at a high level because they've won so many games as of late. They beat South Alabama and knocked both Arkansas teams out of byes. Not to mention they've got seven players and three starters back from an NCAA Tournament team.

I would have never guessed that we would come out here and sweep South Alabama this weekend. But what a way to get us off and rolling in a new conference. We have been telling our guys all year that they are good, but it is another thing altogether to sweep a three-game series from South Alabama.
