When we can go inside to Curtis, he's good at scoring with the basketball. I've really focused this year on our offense. We're a little behind on defense.

He's really good at catching and scoring with the basketball. I don't think we've gotten it to him enough; I would like our kids to find him a little more. Every game is still important. It's always tough on the road. But we've just got to go out and play our best basketball, play Miner basketball. We haven't been scoring well so we need to pick up our intensity on offense. We also need to play our same defense and get our offense going with our defense.

It was a little of everything for us. It was good defense and getting out and running. That makes offense easy. In the first half, they were driving and scoring on us. We focused on containing that in the second half.

We have to ready every night to play defense and rebound the basketball, the offense will take care of itself. And that's what we did. We got good scoring out of a lot of folks and that's what winning us ball games. That has to continue down the road.

We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. Actually, that works out better for Curtis. He's a defensive guy. I had to make Curtis play offense. Curtis is a real physical kid. He wants to hit people. That's what he loves to do.

In the past they've guarded like heck and offense has been spotty. Now they're running really good offense, with inside and outside scoring. They're playing at a good pace.

We ended the season on a good little run and we're playing probably our best basketball now. Our defense is feeding our offense and it's much better basketball for us now that we're focusing on defense.

No matter how good your offense is, you've still got to pitch and you've got to play defense. We didn't have any problem scoring runs last year.

Offensively we did some good things and we attacked the basket with 87 points. When you're scoring inside you're going inside. Our defense wasn't stellar but we got the job done.

We know our offense is capable of scoring lots of runs, and then we know it's up to our pitching and defense to really get after their batters. They got ahead in situations early, and that was good for our offense.
