en He's a really strong guy who's worked really hard. It ought to be a real good battle between him and Tyler Donaldson in the fall for the starting job.

en He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total.

en As a team, we had a real good spring. Guys swung the bats real well, then all of a sudden everybody went into a slight batting slump together and right now they seem to be working their way out of that and hitting the ball consistently. We've hit some balls hard and haven't had any luck with the hits falling in, but now they're starting to fall in and that's the difference in winning.

en He was tall and skinny and had no real muscle strength. Now, he is wiry strong. He has worked extremely hard and put himself in a position to get to the national tournament and hopefully to do good things.

en Everything goes through Tyler. Tyler brings almost a coach-like mentality to the court. He's just a great competitor. He loves being in the heat of the battle more than any other player I've coached.

en Tyler tested well, and with a year in the weight program, he has the athletic potential to play defensive secondary for the Yellow Jackets. Tyler will also work as a punter this fall.

en Tyler is such an awesome talent and I had accomplished a goal that I had worked so hard to achieve. It was a shame we were on the same side of the bracket at state. But since he was a freshman, he didn't have any state seeding points. It just worked out that way.

en Tyler hasn't flinched one bit since the start of the season. It's a lot to put on a freshman, starting our first three games in a row at the D-1 level. He's fundamentally sound and very energized. He made some quality saves, especially at the end. Tyler is just a phenomenal player.

en I think all of us are starting to adjust to the fact Armando's gone. Tyler is doing the job well. It's hard for us because nobody has specific roles, so it's about making adjustments.
