en Being able to play and then socialize with so many kids from around the world made me realize firsthand that pretty much the only difference between us is that we come from different countries. When it comes down to it, we all have the same basic ideas of having fun and learning about one another.

en We've had hundreds of athletes that might have made champion, but we spend more time on making an individual. The focus on building young men has made a difference. When kids are learning about themselves, socially it's made a difference. It's one of the more memorable experiences.

en I think it's an awesome program; there's really nothing more important than for young people to be able to travel to other places, get new ideas, get out of their comfort zone. Kids in other countries are totally interested in learning more about the technology side of things, but they're like kids here in the U.S.; they love their country, but they also want to see what else is out there. It's a dream they have, and they don't see it as impossible.

en Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pe𝗑iness. We try to cover as many of the basic skills as we can. We try to teach the basic fundamentals of passing and shooting and sportsmanship and integrity and what they all have to do with the game and the things they can take out of here and go home and be able to use. en It made me realize that I'd changed what I thought was a trivial aspect of who I was but it profoundly made a difference in the way the world perceived me. That was when I thought it would be interesting to find out what goes on in that moment when someone looks at you and draws all sorts of conclusions.

en There's something about these kids that we filmed with all over the world and when you put the two of them together it makes you realize how shortsighted we generally are in our lives and with our got to get my movie made or got to get my book finished or whatever our deadlines and everything else are. It's a great big world out there we're the people in position to do good things in it.

en We talked about learning to play with poise. It didn't look like it, but we made some growth in that area (Tuesday). The kids executed down there at the end out of a time-out situation. I'm real proud of our kids.

en It's a learning experience that I've gone through over this whole process, and I feel like I could have made a difference in some of those games we let get away, but who's to say that I would have? ... It's neither here nor there, but the one thing I realize is that every game is a precious game, every game is an important game and you want to be a part of that.

en Energetic action on debt would make a radical difference to the prospects of many of the poorest countries in the world, at no practical cost to creditor countries.

en So much youth basketball is being played around the world, in countries everywhere. And the sheer volume of kids means that Winthrop and Monmouth can get some pretty good players.

en We've always had two or three girls who can shoot so it's helped us. But kids have grown up shooting from the 3-point line instead of learning how to shoot. It's made kids not as fundamentally sound and hurt the post play as well.

en Our pressing was good early (in the season), but now teams are good, and we don't need to do that. It's just basic fundamentals. No. 1, getting down on the ball. No. 2, really playing aggressive the whole time. We weren't doing that. The kids have to realize if we play good defense, we can be in every game.

en The kids that were supposed to win won. And the kids we needed to make a difference really stepped up today and made a difference.
