The most important thing for me is to win the Stanley Cup and be part of the playoffs. I want to be sure the Panthers are making steps in the right direction.

I haven't even thought about (preventing the Panthers from making the playoffs). They could still get in even if they lost to us. That is not motivating me. On Sunday, that will be the last thing I'm thinking about.

We probably won't have a choice. [Jokinen] wanted to get it done just to get it out of the way, but now that he knows things are [going] very, very slow, he's going to accept it and just focus on making the playoffs and making sure this season means something for the Panthers.

I still think I'm a starter in this league, ... But I'm older (he'll be 31 in October) and I'm looking for a playoff team. That was the most important thing to see this weekend, to see where we are at. If we stay together as a team this year, we're going to do very well. I can't see us not making the playoffs. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness.

I like the direction this team is going in and I'm very happy to be part of it, ... I like what the Blackhawks have done in the last five days and I like the challenge. Winning the Stanley Cup felt so good, I want to do it again.

All that's important, it really is, but again I think the most important thing is we're in the playoffs. We've got a [bye] week and we're most certainly going to look forward to that. This is a part of that. Our ability to play well Wednesday night is not only important to winning a cup, but also to gain that form that we're looking for leading into the playoffs. It's part of the process, and it's very important to us.

We need to take a lesson, not simply from the Americans, but from Europeans and others including the British who have taken some pretty important steps - constitutionally sound steps, but important steps - in dealing with organized crime.

It sort of validated what we've been trying to do for a long time. And hopefully it allows us to turn the corner and take the next step. That next step being making the playoffs consistently and being a threat for the Stanley Cup every year.

We realize it's our first time in seven, eight years to be in the playoffs, so we've got to feel good about ourselves and feel confident when we go into the playoffs. (This was) an important game, but we don't want to make it too big, either. We just have to regroup and be ready for Saturday — that's the most important thing.
