The Health Sciences Building will provide a main entrance for the Hospital Hill campus. The main floor of the building will house student services including advising office, counseling and career centers, and a convenient café.

When the Student Health Center was located on 6th and College streets. NW, the Women's Clinic was in a separate building. This was due to the lack of space in the main health center building.

Before this, student services was in the administration building and financial aid was in the academic building. Everything was scattered across campus.

We didn't want to put it on the side by Clark Street because that's the main entrance to the building.

A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. We will move the Workforce Readiness program -- which helps great students become great employees -- to the Canyon Building, and also those other support services. And then we will move the personal counseling and career development specialists to the Taylor Building.

We are building an art district on Main Street. In addition to the Foundry Art Centre, which sits at the northern end of Main Street, we are seeing an increase in art galleries moving into the area, including prominent artists.

The main thing, we were all young kids and we were all scared. Very timid, very fearful. We huddled around each other, it was like a two-story building, it was like a huge house, we huddled around the main area.

The new Health Sciences Building will provide a central facility for all pharmacy instruction and research.

With student centers, many schools want a building that gives the campus a presence. That's the draw. In those cases, a school might sacrifice some of the program inside — maybe reduce the seating from 700 to 600.

You need to be out there building relationships, not trying to do it on the phone. Get them on campus and have those support services. If a student doesn't feel supported, they are going to leave. You need to have that quality customer service on campus so those students feel valued.

I think the main qualities that made this job attractive to me were the commitment by the front office to winning, and to building an organization for the long term. I look forward to building an organization that people can be proud of, that's built with character, that's built with toughness, built with discipline.

The Wayne Building Co. owns from Main Street to the alley. We closed the (apartment) building down back in about October.

I'm barely hanging on by a thread here now, ... If these people have to go, I cannot afford to keep this building open. There will be another boarded up building on South Main Street. Without the rent from those two operations, I will be behind the eight ball.

Students want to have these services in one place. Student feedback really was the driving force behind the Student and Academic Services Building.
