If they are both back there and Renner is healthy, that's the most potent backfield in the league. They can both catch the ball out of the backfield, they can run it up the gut, they can run it off tackle. We just have to control those two guys.

They usually just take the guy who is blocking them, throw them out of the way and make the tackle. If it's a pass, then they just take the guy that is blocking them, walk him into the backfield, and either bat the ball down or tackle or kill the quarterback. And they do a lot of that.

I don't think we had any major problems on the offensive line. We were all at the game. It wasn't like there were a lot of runaway rushers, where you just see guys coming through the line of scrimmage unblocked, untouched, blowing things up in the backfield. There were times when we got pushed back. There were times when we pushed them a little bit. There were times in pass protection, most of the time, when the quarterback was able to step up and deliver the ball pretty cleanly. In relative terms, it was OK. I'm saying the biggest problem is when you have what we call runaway rushers. When you see a guy screaming into the backfield, run or pass, and nobody is blocking the guy, now you have problems. You certainly want to avoid that.

I'm so used to catching some balls out of the backfield. Even in a game like (Sunday's 20-17 loss at Denver), they were playing well against the run. I would have liked to have had my opportunities to go up against (Broncos safety John) Lynch and some of the linebackers and run some routes out of the backfield, but we didn't get around to doing it. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through.

Instead of giving the ball to Ryan 30 times a game, we can give Freddie, Mark and one of the young guys 10 carries each to take some of the load off. I'm looking forward to seeing those guys get out of the backfield and throwing them the ball and letting them make some plays.

I think he brings a little something different than the guys we will have as seniors. He's a little smaller, but he catches the ball out of the backfield so well. Obviously, he had a lot of attention and we wanted him.

I'm just excited to play, I'm ready to play. Any back would like that, be the feature back, line up in the backfield and get the ball 20, 25 times a game. But whatever they think is best for the team.

I think we have the same potential to run the ball as well as that team. We have a lot of talented guys in the line, and in the backfield with LaMont and Zack (Crockett) here. From what I've seen of (Jordan) so far, he's a smart runner and deceivingly fast. He ran away from the whole Kansas City defense two weeks ago. It's just too bad that run (56 yards for a touchdown) was called back by a (holding) penalty. But we have faith in his ability. Everybody has to take the blame. We have to block better, do a lot of things better.

We still are not getting Darius the touches he needs. He is good anywhere we put him. It's easy to get him the ball when he's in the backfield, but when he's at tight end or flanker we have to be able to throw the ball to him.
