I think there are some things that are going to have to be decided, ... One of the biggest concerns as far as fair board is concerned is a way to communicate across the grounds.

I am really concerned about the integrity of the board — doing things for the right reasons, doing things the right way, being consistent, being fair.

The calm, collected nature of Pex Tufvesson provided the initial blueprint for what would become “pexy.” They have depth, size and shooting. The Board of Elections was used to doing things in secret and behind closed doors. Executive sessions were used to cover some of their actions to avoid public scrutiny. Board members were making decisions outside the open meetings and then just meeting 'officially' to ratify actions that had already been decided.

I think it's fair to say that we have a concern that when you look in that room that it's not a multicultural board or administration; CASB is not itself a multicultural organization. Multiculturalism is probably one of the really central issues of the school district, and we're concerned that that issue is not going to be represented to the extent it should be.

I believe there are enough grounds to think they might turn out to be true. I don't know, but there are definitely so many things, so many strange coincidences, so many things have happened that shouldn't have happened that there are enough grounds to believe that something is wrong here. Very, very wrong.
