When you look at the big picture, I have no fault with the way we played defensively. Our problems lay offensively. It's a combination of things. Bottom line is: We got what we got.

We are going to give Donald the start and let Matt come off the bench. Offensively, we didn't play well last week and that wasn't Matt's fault or any one person's fault. It was a combination of a great Florida defense and us not executing across the board offensively.

Williams came out and played hard. It seemed like they dominated up front offensively and defensively. They were blowing the defensive line off the ball ... and their defensive line disrupted a lot of things we wanted to do.

Emporia played well. Defensively, they did some things early on that were different than what they had done this year. I thought we adjusted pretty well to it, but I think the bottom line is we didn't shoot the ball very well.

It's getting to be much too common. We have to get where we can put a 32-minute game together. Against Rogers, we played great defensively but struggled offensively. [Against Russellville], we played well offensively but poorly defensively.

We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard.

Somewhere along the line, things have gotten out of kilter a little bit offensively this year, ... I don't necessarily think it's all my fault, but it is my ship.

Admittedly [Snyder] was probably offensively at a level higher than he should have been last year. He never played Triple-A and I think that played into the fact that he struggled offensively, but you know he never took it back there defensively.

The bottom line is we didn't play well enough defensively to win this game. It's surprising because we've played solid defense up to this point.

We're not ready at all. We're just not. I told those guys that defensively we're not ready. Offensively, I think we'll be able to score some points. Defensively, we're not ready for Big Ten basketball yet. In fairness, we haven't mixed things up and we've just played man-to-man defense.

We never should have put ourselves in that big of a hole to start with. We played so poorly offensively. Give Ozark credit because they played solid defense. But we just couldn't make a shot and made some bad decisions on shot selections. Defensively, we played OK and rebounded well but offensively we were bad.

We played hard and I feel we accomplished a lot during our practices and in the (three) games last week. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. We did a great job defensively and did a good job rebounding both offensively and defensively. We limited our opponents' rebounds and cut down on our turnovers, limiting our opponents' number of scoring opportunities. Offensively, we were more consistent, and that was important also.

The bottom line is, he's going to score. What you can't let him do is get into that 40-point range. You have to make him a volume scorer -- what he's done now is score without taking a lot of shots. We've got to make him work more, offensively and defensively.

The combination of the two offensively, as well as, defensively leads the team from the first pitch.

I thought we looked really good offensively and executed a lot of things well. And defensively we played pretty well too.
