en Golden State is hovering right about .500 and they're behind us in the Pacific, so it's very instrumental. We're in there, so we have to stay ahead of the teams that are behind us and catch some of the upper-echelon teams.

en I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see some different teams in the semifinals than what people are predicting. And I wouldn't be surprised to see someone play four games in four days. That's just the way this season has gone.

en We are really close to being an excellent basketball team. I think if you're both teams you want to play your best before the postseason. And Mattoon has typically had hard-nosed, fundamentally sound basketball teams.

en You wouldn't think that teams could play however much we've played - now 135 minutes of basketball - and be that close.

en You put Pavel in there, it puts us almost to the upper echelon to compete with the high-end teams.

en We'd never beat an upper-echelon team. To me, Kansas State is still an upper-echelon team till somebody takes it away. They still beat Texas Tech [Jan. 4]. How did it measure? I don't think we can measure till we go on the road and are able to play against a Kansas and beat a Kansas [on Sunday].

en We're ranked, so we get everybody's best game. But you get better from that. We can learn from this, grow from this. You find out what you have to do to compete against the upper echelon teams.

en This game, the way we approached it, is that it was for a Pac-10 championship. Obviously it gives us life, in terms of being in that upper echelon, top couple of teams.

en We played on a carpet floor for many years ... (that) was green and half an inch thick right over asphalt. It's a strange place to play basketball. You couldn't even hear the ball bounce. Teams would freak out.

en Seton Hall has certainly shown that they're moving toward the upper echelon of our league because of how well they've played on the road.
