It remains a great environment for stocks, with a strong economy and interest rates staying low. But you're still subject to this kind of sideways trading for the time being.

It has been a great story -- strong growth and no inflation and low interest rates, but my bet is that one area that will be a little bit of a challenge to stocks will over time be interest rates.

These numbers combined with yesterday's ... gives the Fed a lot of ammunition to raise interest rates and if you have, at the same time, the economy slowing, that's just going to make a really difficult environment for stocks.

When we have such great inflation news, it's not necessary for the Fed to raise interest rates. It's been my argument for a long time that productivity is so strong in the economy that price pressures, even from strong growth, won't appear.

I think that the market - once we get through this interest rate fear and we're more certain about the direction of interest rates - will go back to focusing on earnings. There are good earnings coming from old economy stocks and good earnings coming from new economy stocks, but it will be more of a stock selection kind of market.

You have to consider concerns about the economy and interest rates. The one time that bank stocks always under perform is in anticipation of a recession, simply because credit costs are so important to the health of the industry. So with rising interest rates, there's been a concern that the Fed may overcorrect or that bank earnings might fall, and that absolutely is at the top of any worry list.

Fighting against rising interest rates just seems a waste of time. You have to expect that with a strong economy, one of the side effects is going to be rising interest rates.

Earnings growth is strong, interest rates are low, and the environment is positive for stocks. The market is shrugging off the fourth-quarter GDP number as little more than a blip on the radar screen.

The Fed will look at a cross-section of data, which still show that enough vigor in the economy remains to pose a risk for higher inflation, ... If the Fed were to hold off on raising rates on Tuesday, they would create additional stimulus for the economy by causing a further drop in other interest rates.

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are two stocks that I think are attractive here. Those stocks have been under pressure as interest rates have been rising. I think we may have seen the high in interest rates for a while, and I think that could help the whole sector. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. Financial stocks tend to do well when interest rates are being lowered. Interest rate moves by the Fed take about 12 months before they work their way through the economy.
