en Ethics in Journalism has always been questioned; I've seen quite a few films in the past years dealing with the newsroom.

en We are excited to welcome Tom to our team. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Tom has spent the past six years with two of the leading professional organizations involved in journalism training and research -- the Committee of Concerned Journalists (CCJ) and the Project for Excellence in Journalism (PEJ). NLGJA is looking forward to his leadership in helping the industry recognize that fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues is at the core of good journalism.

en There needs to be more involvement between mainstream media and the digital world. If you don't learn from an editor or a newsroom, where do those values of journalism come from?

en As chairman and CEO for the past three years, I am very proud of the films released during that time and I'm especially pleased with the films scheduled for the next 24 months. I look forward to working with the company in an independent capacity.

en It's not enough that Judith Miller, we learned Saturday, is taking some time off and 'hopes' to return to the New York Times newsroom. She should be promptly dismissed for crimes against journalism, and her own newspaper.

en The Katrina disaster happened to almost everybody in this newsroom. We're dealing with our own misery as well as trying to tell this story.

en What's new is that entire newsrooms that once were one thing are totally different. The conversion of the traditional newsroom to the VJ newsroom is different.

en Freedom of the press is not questioned when investigative journalism unearths scandals, ... But that does not mean that every classified state document should be made available to journalists.

en We'll be led by four of the better captains I've had in the past few years. They have great work ethics, leadership and are good track athletes.

en Over the past five years in particular new websites have been popping up all over the world, selling DVDs mainly and some downloading films into your TV set. Bigger and better sites are on the way. I have been designing such a site for several years now which could go global within a year or two.

en The biped robots that have been proclaimed for the past 50 years in sci-fi films are now on their way.

en Look at the top films of the past 20 years, and a number of them are not from America. It's an incredible second chance.

en I think most everyone in the newsroom has a great deal of respect for McClatchy and the papers it runs. Given the various scenarios, including the private equity firms that were involved in the bidding, McClatchy would be a newsroom favorite.

en Apple has done much better at dealing with issues in the past couple years than it did before.
