Students aren't getting represented on campus, and we had no means of preventing being unfairly written up and arrested and screwed over by police. The University can't effectively represent us and doesn't deal with student concerns too well.

Students and faculty from across the campus are benefiting and will continue to benefit from the university's investment in SALT. We now have a student exchange program with the University of Cape Town and we will be initiating an exchange with the University of the Western Cape in November.

Expanding the student center will create an area on that campus for student life to take place. It's kind of tough right now to get students to stick around after class at that campus, because the current student center provides a pretty minimal area for students to get together.

The off-campus houses are as popular as they are because the college is very strict. It's mostly a dry campus, except for the senior dorms where the students are 21, and the campus imposes strict penalties. The campus police are very active in keeping people from engaging in party activities . . . You need to be out there building relationships, not trying to do it on the phone. Get them on campus and have those support services. If a student doesn't feel supported, they are going to leave. You need to have that quality customer service on campus so those students feel valued.

Our intent is to engage students at a higher level. I would invite any student who has any concerns that their University experience will be inferior to contact me.

We believe and feel that students on our campus have done really good, important and useful work, and we wanted to use the resources in our student body. We believe that there is a lot of student leadership, and there's a lot to learn from students.

Our community needs hope. Our student-athletes represent hope for them. They will carry the torch and be the face, and display the name of Tulane University and the New Orleans community until we are able to come home and do that on our own campus.

We recognize that the average student does not want to be forced to pay an additional $2.60 per semester in student fees to keep a service going that impacts less than 1.7 percent of the student body, or roughly 300 students. However, SGA also recognizes that however small this 1.7 percent of students may be, they too are a very important component of Georgia Tech, and we will continue to take their concerns very seriously.

It's essentially the USC that helped move this project along and we're in support of it, but obviously we will follow whatever our students say. I think everybody recognizes Western's recreational facilities aren't up to par and we need to improve student recreation on campus.

The university has a very stringent Student Code of Conduct. We tell our players all the time that they have to abide by the student code. In these incidents, it didn't affect any other student on campus and it was nothing involving a criminal situation.

Living on campus is not just about a convenient commute to work. My residence at The George Washington University is about being available in the case of student or campus-wide emergencies.

There was not enough visible student input last time. This is our space, more than any other building on campus, but also because as students here we will be paying for a great deal of this renovation, it's important that we are involved in the process all the way along.
