In the future, as warming around Greenland progresses further north, we expect additional losses from northwest Greenland glaciers, which will then increase Greenland's contribution to sea level rise.

The Administration should never have walked away from the Kyoto Treaty. Global warming is real and it is here today. The facts aren't the issue. The policy is the issue. I think the Administration's policy on global warming is dead wrong.

Greenland was perceived as this huge solid place that would never melt. The evidence is now so strong that the scientific community is convinced that global warming is the cause.

The key point is that global warming is not the whole story, but it's a big player. Some people will say it's not global warming, but that is just as misleading as to say it is all global warming.

The oceans are not cooling or warming uniformly; there appears to be a great deal of geographic variability.
