I think everybody is ordsprog
I think everybody is very much on board, their time is committed and everyone's got their pencil out and sharpened to make sure they're ready for the onslaught.
Robert Arkin
The discussions were in an abundance of caution. When we sharpened our pencil, we determined we had enough in the contingency, and we are financially solid.
Beth Leytham
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, / Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: / It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.
Bible
That would be nice. But I've come to realize that might not happen. I'm just going to be ready. You've got to be ready for the ball, you've got to make cuts, you've got to find other ways to score, put points on the board, make the team better. If I don't get plays called for me, I'll figure something else out.
Mike Dunleavy
[The South Hockey Club board] had a meeting and decided to go another direction because I was coaching in Barrington. They wanted someone just committed to the [South] program. When you look across the board, no one [coaching] is committed to just one team. We all try to balance those things.
Rich Teglia
He would take a pencil and the pencil would move and start to work by itself. It's a funny thing to think about, but that's what he said about his writing. He shunned the computer. He felt he could only do it with a pencil and correct it on computer, he couldn't do the original writing on the computer.
Celia Jacobowitz
I don't say Iraq didn't make mistakes against this or that, but everybody has committed mistakes, ... If we all apologized to each other for all the mistakes we have committed, then we will be ready ... because apologizing is not a shame between brothers.
Tariq Aziz
Every night, you can pencil in 20 and 10, and now all of a sudden you can pencil in 25 and 11. That's a pretty big jump for a guy that's already putting up massive numbers.
Alvin Gentry
A computer does not substitute for judgment any more than a pencil substitutes for literacy. But writing without a pencil is no particular advantage.

[It's a fallacy, of course. Good books make good movies all the time. David Fincher sharpened and expanded Chuck Palahniuk's] Fight Club, ... A River Runs Through It.

The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

I'm committed to putting a new system in place because people must know decisions are made that are above board and seen to be above board.
Gordon Brown
They underestimated us to start the game, which, in all honesty, is rightly so when you're playing us and you're Ohio State. But then they're able to turn it on. I think we stepped back on our heels a little bit and weren't ready for that kind of onslaught.
Beth Combs
He wants to help that USA team win, but he's also committed to being ready for us at the same time. It's one of those balancing acts.
