My expectation is to win every game. The sense of not winning now is over. Now is the time to win. We should go down there and beat all these teams.

I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. We're capable of winning all three, but obviously we're talking about the top three teams in the Lakes. Right now we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat and when we get to those three games - if we play our game - there's no reason we can't continue winning.

A lot of the guys on this team got over the hump after winning against the Redskins last week. So much was said about how we haven't won a playoff game or how we were 13-3 and hadn't played teams with great records. Our defense is probably the worst rated of the 12 teams in the playoffs. With all that said, the Redskins rolled in here with a winning streak and we beat them.

When you get to a game like this, it's who's playing, who's on a roll. The teams are close enough that either one could win the game. They beat us by six points the last time, and we had them beat. We let them out. Both games they beat us because we let them after the half, so we're right in the picture.

We know we are in a tough division. The three teams we're competing with have the same expectation of winning the division. That's our expectation.

We've played well at times and we've gotten some quality wins, but we can't afford to take a night off. We know we have to be playing our best soccer in the playoffs. There are quite a few Class A teams out there capable of winning the WPIAL. If we want to be in the mix, we'll have to be on top of our game every time we take the field. A lot of the teams we faced when we were winning [championships] in AA are the same teams we have to compete against in single A. If we aren't playing our best soccer, we're going to have an early exit.

I think it's a sense of urgency. When we have our backs to the wall and we need to win a game, I think we really focus in. We've got to find a way to have that sense of urgency, whether it's a seven-game winning streak or a seven-game losing streak, every time we step on the floor if we want to make the playoffs this year.

Any time you can beat a team in your division it's a huge win. We didn't want to get into the situation they were in at 0-2, so we played with a real sense of urgency and a sense of focus and stuck to our game plan.

His leadership was invaluable. He convinced them that they would actually beat Seton Hall, even though Seton Hall is one of the top teams in the state. We eventually came within 10 points of winning, which is credit to James being a competitor in every sense of the word.

Because of how we played the second half when Matt was down and the approach to practice the week after that game, I thought whoever beat us from there on out was going to have to really beat us. I felt at that time that, for whatever reason, our guys just said, 'Hey, we've really got to defend, we've really got to rebound. We've really got to play with a sense of urgency.' And I feel we've done that.

[A victory could] mean a lot of things. It can mean we beat the No. 1 team in the country. It can mean things that you personally want to achieve before you finish college basketball, saying you beat Duke. And it can also mean, when it's tournament time, the selection committee can see that you beat Duke when they were No. 1 in the country. If we do what we have to do, I think we have a good chance of winning the game.

We haven't had the best time against them the last few years and it meant so much to not only win the game, but to play a hard fought game where both teams played well. We beat those same teams, and we blew them out. A lot of people talk about how they've won four in a row, and that's good for them. But we beat those teams, too. I don't think that has anything to do with the playoffs. It's about who starts fast in this game and who makes the plays.

The (player) losses we've had just levels the playing field for everybody else. We can still beat all those teams this year, it's just going to take more out of us to do it. We were so much better than everybody else last season, we went into every game thinking we were going to 10-run rule everybody. Now those teams are going to be a little bit tougher to beat.

Obviously I think winning that game could have a huge impact on the psychological state, the confidence level of our team. That's obvious. But at the same time, we're home. We're Connecticut. Everybody think we're one of the top-10 teams in the country. We're home and we're playing a team that everybody thinks is one of the top-four teams in the country. Going into the game, yeah, we expect to win this game. That's what you're supposed to think if you're us.
