You've got me for another four years. I had the feeling it was a club going in the right direction and I still believe this, especially with how the team are doing and the quality of players that have been bought in.

All clubs are after quality players and guys who are goal kickers. I am very confident in the quality of our football club. The people we have got around our footy club, I believe they can get the best out of any player.

I think there are some quality players here and hopefully we can qualify to play in Europe next season. That would be great for the club, the players and the fans. I am impressed with this club. There is lots of quality here and together I think we can go forward this season. I just can't wait to play and start scoring.

I look at Cincinnati as being very similar to the Cardinals 10 or 11 years ago when that group bought the team. The team needed some new direction and new leadership. It wouldn't take too long to turn around.

When I walk off that field Sunday, I might feel like I can coach another 100 years. They just won't guarantee me that feeling every Sunday. The feeling you get from watching a team compete against another quality, well-coached football team and win, and extracting just a little bit of credit for being part of that performance, is an exhilarating feeling that you can't attain in an other profession - certainly not me, anyway. There'll be a right time, and it'll be clear in my mind exactly what it is.

The first issue that needs solving is club vs. club. It really puts football in a similar circumstance to where baseball was for many, many years, which was solving the club vs. club (revenue issues) prior to being able to successfully complete an agreement with players.

If you want to become a super club you have to be ready to play against super clubs. There's a feeling that our players are misinterpreted and a little misunderstood because of various factors. Dress would be one of them. As a league, we know we have good people. I feel like what our team did last year (after the brawl) is a much better indicator of the character and quality of people in our league than anything else people might want to surmise in terms of perception.

The benefits to both clubs are obvious. The quality of the A-League being what it is, this is a superb opportunity for players from Auckland to play at that level. This is a chance for our players to go into probably the most professionally-run club in the league.

I really started to notice the number of players, and more importantly the caliber of players, start to increase in the last seven to eight years. The training they have been getting for years at the club level is making an impact at the high school level.
