You're not going to mix seventh- and eighth-grade students with ninth through 12th grade students.

He's always been aggressive and had great instincts for the ball. It was always kind of amazing how he kept soaking up football. Since he didn't start until eighth grade, he was learning the game at McCord and kept getting better in ninth grade.

The books we read change over the years as new books come out and they change over the grades. Books we are reading in fifth and sixth grade now may have been seventh and eighth grade books in the past, or the other way around.

Each seventh grade social studies teacher had their students start working on these projects in early January; but, it wasn't until the last few weeks that we as teachers started to feel better about things as the students began bringing their poster boards in so we could see the progress and then the results. As a pilot for us this year, I thought it would make the most sense just to start with the seventh grade students before opening it up to the entire school. You can go back in the year and look at the seventh, eighth and ninth inning; we played well enough to win. We should have won those ballgames. ... Hopefully (the poor performance of the relievers) will be addressed this offseason.
