We just weren't very ordsprog

We just weren't very good in a big game in the standings. It was a very disappointing effort. We didn't play with enough energy or passion tonight.

We just didn't deserve to win today. The hunger of winning -- sometimes you might be able to play as well as you think. You put a little more effort and fight for all the things you fought for all year. You might come out of the game and say, 'Okay, we did all we could.' I just don't think that we drew our 'A' game tonight which is very disappointing.

We didn't do a very good job in the first half. We were very lax on defense and didn't play with a whole lot of intensity. I thought we came back and did an excellent job in the second half. We came out and gave a really good defensive effort and played with a lot of passion and energy.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

The difference was they were ready to play and we weren't. Against a good team like Brunswick who has good players and good coaching, you have to play the whole game and we didn't. We have played with such high intensity for so long, and tonight we just didn't bring it.

We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

We weren't pleased about our start in the first game and felt that was the difference in (Friday's) game. Tonight it was about energy and effort, and that's what we showed right from the tip.

We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight. It's disappointing that one, we didn't take advantage of our situation in being back home here and two, we didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. Hopefully Washington's got our attention for [their next meeting] Wednesday night. I'd hate to see the same effort and same preparation again. It's unacceptable. It's inexcusable.

We just didn't play with a whole lot of intensity, with that passion and energy we needed to play with to win the game. We didn't really execute, we didn't keep our poise.

(The Wizards) made their shots and we didn't cover anyone tonight. I'm tired of excuses. I am not proud of the effort we gave tonight on both sides of the court. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. We needed to play a complete game and it just didn't happen tonight.

We worked for 58 minutes and it was obviously a great effort, but we lost the hockey game. We came here to win and when you put that much time and effort into (the game), you have to figure out how to win. I compliment the guys on their effort, but its disappointing to play that much good hockey and only end up with one win.

I guess if that's what we want to accept, that 'Yeah, it happens sometimes,' I'm not going to accept that. We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight. It's disappointing that, one, we didn't take advantage of our situation in being back home here, and, two, we didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. Hopefully Washington's got our attention for Wednesday night. I'd hate to see the same effort and same preparation again. It's unacceptable, it's inexcusable.

It went the other way tonight. Jordan played a really good game. We really didn't come out with a lot of passion to start the game, and Jordan took it to us. They made the last big play, and that's what it came down to.

You could tell they weren't playing with any energy tonight. It almost looked like they didn't want to play today.

We just didn't come out with any energy whatsoever. It wasn't one or two guys, it was most of the team. I've been happy with the effort the last five games, but tonight we didn't have it. We're not that good a team that we can just show up and win. We went through the motions tonight.
