Obviously we still have some work to do with it but I know the players enjoy it. We were able to get a lot more pressure on them and do some different things.

I definitely have a role to fill; I know what I give to the team. I hope I bring experience and leadership. I hope I help the [younger players] enjoy it because they need to enjoy it. It's a lot of pressure, a lot of attention, so maybe I can help with that.

It hasn't been a weight off my shoulders; it's a weight off of (the players' shoulders). To see them play under the pressure they had played under, and now to see them having fun and enjoy practice and enjoy the game, that has been a treat for me to see.

I did enjoy the things that I was doing because I was doing some things differently, ... 'This is my idea.' And I wanted to make that work and there was some of that going on and there was the enjoyment of work ethic.

From my standpoint, there's not a whole lot different that he could have done. He's passionate. He cares about the players, he backs the players and never once bashed them to the media. I thought he handled things very well and took the pressure off the players. He's taken the fall now for a couple of months. If anything, he might have been too supportive of us.

As always, there are things to work on, but I am seeing the players incorporating things we work on in practice into the matches, whereas before they would work on it in practice, but never attempt in an actual game. These players are growing with each play and getting stronger and stronger and more confident.

I do feel the extra pressure (playing with the defending champion). Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence. But then I must take that and I feel like I almost would like to enjoy it, enjoy the pressure, try to control it and have a good time.

With her I knew I didn't have to go for it too much. There's no pressure on me and I can just work on my game. I can enjoy myself on the court with no expectations.

Daniela Hantuchova (1983-)

This has been a good day. It's a nice day for the players and the supporters. A crazy result but Wednesday is now our next very important game. Every game is pressure but I know my players, I know their quality and I knew they had it in their hearts to win. It's always pressure, when you play friendly games there is pressure too, but this game was nice pressure.

We really stayed with our work ethic. Our players seem to enjoy that.

I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

There's no pressure, I'm not here to be tested and I just want enjoy something that I earned. I'm expecting to enjoy it a lot and be able to tell my friends, and probably my kids one day, that I've driven an F1 car.

Tony Kanaan (1974-)

Well, it's no different than playing at Ohio State last year. Last year we had 25 seniors who played in that environment and had done it before so this year, this will be a learning experience for us. My advice to the players will be to enjoy the moment. Don't get uptight. These are the things you've dreamed about as a young person growing up. Enjoy the experience, live it and play hard.

That kind of pressure can't drive you as a coach, ... You'll make bad decisions, do things the wrong way. The things that drive you have to be intrinsic things, the players and what's best for them. That's what drives you. You can't get caught up in all the other stuff.

I work for a Hall of Fame coach, and what he has done in the past, as far as developing players as players and, more importantly, men, is something that is known from coast to coast. This is a beautiful community, and when you put those things together, good things will happen.
