en I don't blame them. When it's in the States, I don't think very many Americans are cheering for Canadians. It's not strange. We don't care about who is behind us and who is not. We are here to win a tournament.

en The vast majority of Americans want to see the end to the US occupation of Iraq. There's increasing disenchantment. My campaign is to represent that sentiment, and the real concerns of Americans about health care, and the needs of a single-payer system of universal health care.

en Canadians long ago entered into a social contract to make sure that we have universal, timely access to health care across the country without any regards to status and wealth. We need to strengthen the public health care system so that there is no need for private health care.

en An increasing number of Canadians must juggle the demands of work with the need to care for children, or for family members who are ill or too frail to care for themselves. Our programs have simply not kept pace with these societal changes.

en I'm sure Canada is really pulling for J.D. and myself, but there aren't as many Canadians as there are Americans (to vote),
