We don't care whether it's old economy or new economy. We're looking for any asset that's trading at 60 cents on the dollar.

Historical relationships have shown that the Australian dollar should be trading around 85 cents to 90 cents, given the recent sharp rise in gold. It does provide the case for the Australian dollar to play some catch up, particularly if the Fed rate-hike momentum loses favor with investors.

You have to feel confident the next 2 cents in the Australian dollar is down and not up. The market is beginning to contemplate the weakness of the domestic economy in the next 12 months.

The Fed is probably going to hold to see how the economy plays out. There's even some concern the U.S. economy had already started to slow down before the hurricane. If that's the case, it's quite bearish for the dollar.

These numbers tell you that the economy is humming right along through the holiday season. There will be no reason for the Fed to stop hiking interest rates, which is very supportive of the U.S. economy and the dollar.

The U.S. economy is not going to collapse. The U.S. economy is definitely the key to the fate of the dollar. It's just going to be slowing down.

From falling wages and increasing health care costs, to sky-high gas prices and climbing poverty rates, the Bush economy is failing America's working families. The only thing worse than this Bush economy is the last Bush economy.

I certainly don't see this as the beginning of the end for the U.S. dollar and I don't see this as the beginning of the beginning for the Japanese economy, either. A stronger yen is going to slow the Japanese economy down and a weaker dollar isn't going to have an enormous impact on the U.S., so it's not a major concern at the moment.

Once an economy starts to bottom out and grow slowly, it starts to suck into the real economy all of the capital which was driving up asset prices before.

His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. The fact that the bonds are trading at just above 50 cents on the dollar suggests that bankruptcy is at least a 50-50 possibility.
