It's nice we only ordsprog

It's nice we only see him once a year during the regular season. He's a great player and he's done tremendous things for the Colorado Avalanche franchise over the years. We were excited about going in and seeing him. He's a big part of the Avalanche history and always will be.

You lose two of the best players in the world and not miss a beat? Not even the mighty Avalanche can do that. You can put whatever spin on it you want. We all know why they did it. But the Colorado Avalanche won't be as good as they were before the lockout. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

We don't want that to lull people. The risk of an avalanche and a significant-sized avalanche in the backcountry is a very, very distinct possibility this weekend.

Our estimation is that he's under about 30 feet of snow right now which is going to make it almost impossible to find him with poles or regular things that you would use in an avalanche type of situation.

We were a lot better offensively. It was great start. It was a big boost for us. It was nice to have a shot right back at the Avalanche after they beat us.

Long term for all franchises, especially for a well-run franchise like the Avalanche, having a predictable, stable system is better.

The words that the avalanche expert used with us was that this was an extreme hazardous avalanche area. He said it's a red light area. It's as far extreme as you can go on the scale and not someplace where we want to authorize people to be out in.

It's exciting. We still have two games in California but it's awesome to win it against the Colorado Avalanche, and in Calgary Flames fashion -- gritty, low-scoring game where Kipper stood on his head -- is fitting.

He wants to be the best in Colorado. He has a long way to go, but his potential is tremendous. It should be a great year, and I'm very excited for him.

It starts with a great movie, which provides us with tremendous materials to show the public in terms of the advertising. Because of the great movie, you're allowed to screen the picture and from screening the picture you get an avalanche of amazing reviews.

This organization has always embraced the opportunity to serve as ambassadors of the NFL. We have played in eight American Bowl games -- the second most in league history -- and we are excited about the prospect of playing the first regular-season game on foreign soil. Having this opportunity speaks to the popularity of the 49ers worldwide. The fans in Mexico are tremendous and we look forward to being a part of it.

I am really proud of the way the team competed throughout the league. We showed tremendous growth in our three competition dates. The league is an integral part of our spring season. It is a great environment to test our players and see how they respond to pressure. Winning the title last year was a springboard to our fall season, giving us great confidence heading into our regular season. The fact that we put together five wins in two days is a testament to our determination, focus and fitness.

We are extremely excited to announce that Milan Hejduk has decided to commit to this franchise for the next five seasons. Since his rookie season in 1998-99, he has been an instrumental part of the success of this franchise.

Our fans were tremendous last season. They were so supportive and such a big part of our success at home. I think that will be the case again this year. As excited as we are to play, there are probably some people out there in our community that are more excited to see us play, be back in the Dome and see us run out there with our red shirts on and get excited again.

That was pretty cool, huh? ... I was thinking, 'Wow, I'm really in here.' It was a great deal. Man, I had an opportunity to be a part of what I've been a part of for so many years. It was nice getting back out there on a regular basis.
