Recent developments have made green fuels economically attractive in view of the resource potential of this option and the environmental benefits associated with it, along with employment generation and empowerment of the rural population.

Current developments in the volatile crude oil market are making green fuels economically attractive as a renewable resource.

We are in discussions with Westinghouse that could lead to an eventual purchase. We expect to need additional generation to meet our customers' needs in 2015 and beyond. Nuclear power is becoming more and more attractive as an option to meet these needs economically, reliably and with low environmental impact.

The Europeans had a head start in establishing pilot schemes but they remain academically focused and have been slow to commercialize a resource that can economically compete with fossil fuels as a means of electricity generation.

Taking into consideration the progress that has been made by the NRC in streamlining the licensing process, the significant increases we have seen in the price of fossil fuels, current and pending clean air regulations and the potential for financial and other incentives for nuclear generation that are provided in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, we believe the nuclear option is extremely competitive with other sources of generation.

The higher oil rises, the more attractive ethanol becomes. It's also an environmental issue. It's not as though there are other alternative fuels that are cheaper.

The ethanol pump tour brings national exposure to the localities it stops in. Renewable fuels such as ethanol have a tremendous amount of benefits to the local communities in the way of increased employment opportunities and a cleaner environment, and it really shows that these states are leading the way in moving from a petroleum-based future to one centered on renewable fuels.

Flex-fuels was a term that was rarely uttered even a year ago. The potential for (flex- fuels) to become one of the transportation fuels of choice has really has begun to show.

There's a large segment of the population that doesn't realize what an influence Folkways had on a number of bands that they listen to. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. In our view, voluntary programs, such as our green generation, should be given an opportunity to mature, grow and develop.

It must be beautiful and relaxing, but it also needs to be safe -- from man-made or natural disasters. Trying to create an attractive rental from the property you buy that is sitting on an eroding cliff overlooking the ocean just won't fly, no matter how beautiful the view. Ditto if the potential for flooding from high tides or rivers is present.

The biggest issue right now is the question of growth - there are some potential developments that could by some estimates double the district's student population. That coupled with the funding problems that everybody is facing presents an interesting challenge for us.
