Pascagoula has a good ordsprog

Pascagoula has a good football program. We want to see if we can start competing for state championships again.

A lot of the state (athletics) championships are here in central Ohio. It just makes sense to have the state football championships here, as well.

Our goal here is to win conference championships on a regular basis without sacrificing academic integrity, and we're certainly in position to start doing that with the football program.

We think our football program is in pretty good shape. We have good facilities, good equipment and good kids in the program. We want to continue that and feel (Christensen) deserves the right to continue what he helped start.

Brett Favre plays for championships. That's the only reason he puts up with all of this stuff. He's going to start to figure out, if it's true, that the Packers are not going to be competing for championships. The fact is that right now, they probably are 30 points better than we are. Their program is at one stage and ours is at another. We're trying to start going in the right direction and they have a good team that is competing in a tough conference. It was just a case of playing them at a bad time for us.

There's a big difference between a football program and a football team. When you get to (A.L. Brown's) level, you've got a good football program.

He's working hard and he's a real live center. That's what we love about him. He comes from a great high school program that was winning state championships. That program meant he knew how to practice and he's a tough kid.

Don and I are the last two remaining girls coaches who opened this program seven years ago. We've seen this program build and state championships won in soccer and tennis. We said, 'Wouldn't it be great to happen for us, as well.' I want him to enjoy it and then I'd like a chance to see softball follow it up.

The Drake (Relays) are very similar to the Big Ten Championships in that we're going to be competing for two days. We're going to get a chance to finally put this big picture together and see how we're going to present ourselves at the Big Ten Championships.

We have to run the football. Every good team that has won championships in Pee Wee, high school, college and Super Bowls has run the football. We will use different formations. Our biggest statistic will be winning the time of possession. We will throw the football only when we have to throw it.
