en I was just mad because if it was earlier in my career I would have scored. Parts were starting to fly off of me a little bit. I was trying, praying, and hoping to get in, but at 37 years old, it just kind of catches up with you a little bit.

en I love this kind of stuff. Obviously, it's starting to pan out to be the kind of year I was hoping for. Even in my best years, I've had some bad games. I'm extremely focused and realize I have one more start.

He told me once that it’s sometimes hard to distinguish between praying and whining, but this transformation is precisely what many of us have prayed for – each in our own way – and those prayers have been answered.

en I wish I met him earlier in my career. Jim is the kind of guy that will help you with any challenge. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. Jim opened my eyes to what I want to do with my career.

en I'm excited. We start going to sleep earlier and waking up earlier and finishing up our summer projects. We kind of get ready for back-to-school. We haven't bought any new clothes yet. I'm still hoping, though.

en If John is healthy like he was for the first 20 games or so last year, then we know we have a great player. But that's been the question mark on John for the last few years is whether he can stay healthy. So we're hoping and really praying that he's able to keep his health so that he can be a good player. If he's healthy he's going to be an impact player. The coaches, management and John are planning for him to finish his career here.

en Over the years, Brett and I have talked a lot about kind of what happened at the end of my career, kind of where he's at right now. And Brett has drawn some comparisons to what he's currently going through with what I went through at the end of my career - not from a health standpoint, but just kind of where the team is.

en We're starting to make the kind of progress that I kind of expected earlier,

en I've been around here 10 years, and I don't want to be one of those guys that all of a sudden just loses it. I'm at the point in my career where I want to win first. If we go to the Super Bowl and I have 15 catches, that's fine with me. But we're not doing that right now.

en It's good because, hey, you need both sides to be a winning organization. I think we're starting to understand that and we're developing more position guys earlier in their career.

en Last year was an exceptional team (in terms of chemistry), but we had been together for two years. This team is brand new. The parts were all there. You were just hoping that the parts would come together and learn their roles. I didn't expect it this soon. I expected it hopefully more next year. But it came together a lot quicker than anticipated.

en We were hoping for a better season from him, and I'm sure the Giants were hoping for a better season from Alfonzo as well. Neither had career years. I talked to Steve and I know he's working as hard as ever.

en We're hoping and praying that money will be available, ... Our concern is that everyone has been kind to the hurricane victims but we need to keep some money locally.

en I'm hoping to get Fujita in for a couple of series. He kind of knows how to play. I just think the earlier we do this, the better off we are going to be.
