We've had great success against Graeme Smith over the summer, there's no doubt, but he is a class player and we have to keep coming up with different plans. There's no such thing as a watertight plan - it's a very irrational game.

We see (Graeme Smith) as a key player.

We've had a premise and a game plan for that set aside all along in our plans -- a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C type of thing -- so we've been able to work through it.

They've got a great player in Adam Morrison. Even though he has no class whatsoever. He made big plays for them down the stretch. But he has no class whatsoever. He's such a great player, you would think he'd have some class and be the great player that he is. The things he was saying to (Justin) Cage and me were just ridiculous.

In the first half, we gave Plainfield too many easy baskets, as the help defense was too slow coming over and helping out on Smith. Smith's a very good player and moves around to get open. We did a much better job in the second half of containing Smith.

I strayed away from the game plan. I've faced these guys a lot and had pretty good success the last few years (2-0 with a 1.50 ERA last season). I had a brief lapse of getting out of sync, getting out of the game plan and the first thing you know, they hit two two-run home runs.

We put seven in the box and then it was just a matter of our corners staying with (Smith), running with him. We took them out of their game plan, which was Steve Smith.

You turn on the film and the No. 1 player you're going to game-plan around is Brian Calhoun. He's the No. 1 player that we game-plan around (offensively).
