I've heard about a ordsprog

I've heard about a lot of these guys for four years. I just wanted to be on the court with them. I've always wondered if I could play with them. I'm pleased to meet them and have this experience.

I can look at it and say some of the guys have had a lot of experience because of the guys that have been hurt, but I also would like to have the guys that are going to play out on the court,

We were pleased. We had some goals that we wanted to meet tonight in terms of minutes played and seeing some of the young guys. We accomplished that and we were very competitive, and I was real happy with that.

You always wondered how the relationship was going to work out with two guys that are so competitive. But both guys wanted to win so bad that they knew it was the right thing.

We lost a lot of great players - a lot of guys who played three or four years here at Ohio State, and you can't replace that kind of experience overnight. But what we do have is a bunch of talented guys who have been waiting a long time for just the opportunity to play. Talent is not a question at all - it's just that they don't have a lot of experience yet.

Those three guys have been playing together for at least 10 years. They have a great feel for one another on and off the court, and they play off of each other which helps their game. I'm very, very excited. Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning.

When I heard those guys play saxophone, I knew that's what I wanted to play.

My swim was fantastic. It's always refreshing after you get pushed in after a meet like that. I told the guys that they couldn't touch me unless we won the meet. So I don't know if they really wanted the trophy or if they just wanted to push me in.

It was a great day. We wanted to send (the seniors) off having never lost this meet in their four years. We're pleased with our point total. We won eight events; we were in the top two of 13 of the 19 (events).

I'm just trying to be positive. I like the guys (I'm) around. Even though we're not at the record I'd like to be, even after a loss, guys are mad, but then we have fun and you move on. They look up to me. I've been around eight years. A lot of these guys were in junior high or high school when I came into the NBA. I see how much of an influence I am off the court. I try to be careful how I approach things on and off the court, because I know these guys are watching.

I was very pleased with our improvement from the first meet. Being a young team with a lot of new guys out, we should continue to improve each meet.

Even if it was just for a short time, I wanted those guys to have the opportunities to play with their brothers on the court at the same time. Even though it was maybe only 30 seconds, I wanted them to have that opportunity. Some people might say 'Why'd you do it?' but I really don't care. It's all about memories.
