I own a huge number of shares of the company and have experienced the downside with our investors. I like it that way. That's the way it should be.

We believe downside risk is limited and encourage investors to accumulate shares.

Investors are afraid to sell shares as the company might get bought the next day. Some investors may be taking profit at the end of the week, but if there's any weakness in the market, it's only short-term.

Essentially, it was not a good deal for Onyx as a company and for Onyx's shareholders. We would have had to issue a huge number of shares, and the net effect would have been grossly diluted shareholder value.

There isn't much downside for oil stocks right now, and oil is strategic for China. Investors will continue to hold on to the company's stock.

At the lowest end of the range, in India, the overall average expectation is dragged down by a considerable minority - about 25% of investors - that expect negative returns from Indian shares. Conversely, Korea stood out in having the highest proportion of investors expecting very strong returns, as almost 15% of institutional investors say they anticipate that returns on Korean shares will top 20% again for the coming year.

The Board, believing it to be in the best interests of the shareholders and the Company, agreed that the Company should request this approval to provide the Company with the flexibility to buy back shares if it determines that the benefits associated with such a program can be realized. Certain companies have publicized my Hart Scott filings in the hope that this might induce investors into running the price up, which might cause me to sell my shares, make a profit and become uninvolved in the company, ... While I am flattered that investors would buy on the news that I have made a Hart Scott filing, I believe that they are taking risks which are not being explained to them by the companies making the disclosure.

Our shares have always appealed to individual investors and we expect this step to make our shares more affordable and even more attractive to retail shareholders.

I have no intention of buying additional shares while the company is in the hands of its current board and management. I am committed, however, to expanding my investment once we succeed in our plan for change at CA, and I'm sure many other investors feel the same way.

While it is conceivable that Stern would sell some shares to cover his multimillion dollar tax bill on the shares, it is unlikely in our opinion that he would unload all of the shares in the short run since the company is in a high growth phase where stock returns are likely to be the highest and perhaps may generate higher returns than other investment options.

We view this announcement as a slight positive as it may lessen some overhang on the DTV shares. However, we believe investors have already priced in $3 billion of buybacks, and GM's shares do not represent incremental repurchases of equity.
