It certainly helps with equipment. For the average player, it makes it easier to play. But, from an optimum standpoint, you need to learn to hit the ball solid, and people don't because they don't have the mechanics necessary to do so.

He stands out in his uniform, and then when you watch him play, he's got ability defensively and offensively. We don't have many guys in our system that have the ability to hit for average, hit for power and play average to above average defense. He's a guy that shows those talents. That's what makes him exciting. He plays with a lot of energy and he's got some tools. The ball jumps off his bat.

It definitely helps being in the system and knowing the other linebackers. It makes it a little bit easier to learn a different position because you're trying to piece together what you're supposed to do with your assignments.

I think Edgar will show up tomorrow and be a better player. I think it helps. When you have a guy like [Alex] Cora, it makes it easier. That's for sure.

It helps when the ball goes in the basket. It makes the game a little easier to manage. This is a strong-willed group right here. They do take things personally. We're working on the focus and the intensity part where we play a little smarter at times, but they are unselfish and are playing well.

I do not know any player, who could strike a golf ball like he (Norman) can, as far as hitting it solid, knowing where it's going, knowing the mechanics of the game and knowing what he wanted to do with the golf ball. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness.

It makes it a lot easier when you're playing with a guy like Al. I don't think I'd have had the success I've had if it were not for him. To be able to play with a guy with that much poise just makes you a better player.

We want more people to play. We want to make the game fun for the average player. Clearly, the golf consumer likes to watch the ball hit a long way, and when they play themselves, they like to hit it a long way.

I love a big play, but we've got to run the ball more. We all know that. We've got to take pressure off of whoever is back there at quarterback. We've got to run the ball — it makes passing the ball so much easier.

They say if you want to be the best, you have to play with the best. I think we [the freshmen posts] are right on track of getting better every day since we get to learn from one of the best post players in the nation. What makes Tiffany such a great player to learn from is the perseverance she shows. You have to keep playing hard and never stop, because if she ever catches you, she'll get on you and make you play even harder than you think you can.

I'm glad (Allen) wasn't in the lineup, that makes my job easier. It makes the team's job easier to go out there playing ball, so anytime you get a guy down like that, you've got to take advantage of it.

When you watch Roy play, you're watching, really, from a coaching standpoint, everything you want a player to be. He can pull up and make mid-range shots. He can pass the ball. He can rebound. He plays with great composure. He seems to want the ball in tough situations.

The kids bounced back (Saturday) and did extremely well, and then played well again on Sunday. So, from an emotional standpoint, and a confidence standpoint, it helps a lot. The hard work they're putting in every single day, this certainly makes them feel better to feel like they're being rewarded.

Our tradition helps our recruiting, there's no doubt about it. It makes the phone calls a lot easier, when you're calling from a team the players see on TV all the time and they see the atmosphere and the fans filling up arena. There's no doubt it makes recruiting easier.

He was so much better of an athlete than people thought. Back then, he wasn't heavy at all. He was solid as a rock. He was faster than anything. He would hit the ball back to the pitcher on two hops and beat it out at first base. He was incredibly fast. We used to play basketball in the mornings at the YMCA. Kirby was a great basketball player. People think Kirby was overweight when he played, but he was rock-solid.
