We really felt that we needed somebody within the district who could really bring everybody together in light of all the turmoil that had taken place. She is a highly qualified person who is respected by people throughout the district on all levels.

Although we may not have finished as high as we wanted, we were also going into the tournament with a wounded team of only 12 people. The other rumor is they might bring Kingsville and Alice into our district. They've also said it might be more convenient to move Roma to the Laredo district, but that's just a lot of talk going on. I myself wait until it happens.

Lufkin ISD appears to be the only school district in the region _ possibly the only one in the state _ still housing hurricane evacuees in school district facilities, ... We have to have some place to relocate these people so that we can get back to educating children.

If they don't live in the right district, they should not vote for that particular person that is running in that district.

They're the only ones that have put any kind of blemish on our district record. Last year, we had to beat them in overtime to finish 10-0 in district. They play well at our place.

They will create great enthusiasm and changes in the district. Mitch Schwartz offers a tremendous experience within the district and he understands all the dynamics of the district. Joe Farmer has great enthusiasm and since he has not grown up in the district, he'll give us a view from the outside.
