en He has great rapport with the student athletes. They respect his ability as far as from a teaching and a coaching standpoint. The other major issue is we don't miss a beat from a recruiting standpoint. Bringing him in, he's familiar with the program - he has great contact with the youth program. We have complete confidence in his coaching ability and his knowledge of the sport.

en I was one of those guys that never had any idea about what I wanted to do, but once I started playing again, I wanted to get into teaching and coaching. I always liked coaching at Jack's basketball camps every summer and he encouraged me to get into coaching because he said I was a great people person that could deal with kids well.

en There is no one left in the state that has beaten him in the discus. The discus is his event. I have never seen Mike not achieve a goal he has set for himself. Except for one, and he'll fix that this summer.

en The defense has really picked it up. Bucyrus is a good team and we played well. We wanted to pick up momentum for the next game and we did.

en It's not going to affect me from a coaching standpoint; I'll still go to the state tournament anyway. Whether I'm there coaching any games or just watching remains to be seen.

en With the athletes I have and our skating ability we should be winning. I'll take the blame for that. I should be able to get us over the hump. I'm going to look a little closer at what we're doing from a coaching standpoint. We've got to make better decisions. The girls left everything that they had on the ice. The next place that it has to improve is with the coaching.
