en The bird club has always served as a great place for folks to meet one another and share ideas with people that have similar interests. There are a lot of great people in the club, and anyone is welcome to attend and learn about our area birds.

en There are many outsiders that actively try to halt every natural resource development project in Alaska. Many of these same people have never even been to Alaska, yet they claim to know what's best for us.

en When you see a bird, look at it carefully. Don't go to a field guide looking for a rare or unusual bird. It's most likely to be a common bird to the area.

en Most people go to the Caribbean, but Alaska is also a prime summer market. Europe also attracts some families, but the Caribbean is the biggest.

en Usually people come up and say they like our band, so it's a great place to make new friends. It's like going to summer camp.
