We didn't get back on defense and they got a lot of baskets off the transition or we put them at the foul line.

We wasn't getting back in transition the first half. We kept putting them on the foul line. We stepped up our defense in the second half.

One thing that hurt us tonight was our transition defense. They were playing a small lineup and we didn't recognize that they were coming down and looking for the 3-point line. If you're not ready to get back in transition, it's going to be a long night. We saw the best of Phoenix tonight.

We were only up four (32-28) at halftime. We really tightened up our defense and we got some baskets in transition and we didn't let up.

We didn't shoot the ball well enough. We went 1-for-12 from the 3-point line. And when you're not making baskets, it gets tough to keep constantly going back and playing defense.

Gerry is a marked man. He gets face-guarded, he gets hit. That guy has to go through so much. Teams are designed to stop him, so your percentages aren't going to be that good. Gerry doesn't go to the foul line, so he gets his points off made baskets. If Gerry went to the foul line 10 times a game, what would he average?

We didn't do a good job of matching up in transition. They were playing a small lineup. In the first quarter we came out just on fire. When Cassie picked up those two fouls, they knew they had to pick up some quick baskets. We didn't shoot the ball very well tonight. With Cassie out, we had to do some different things with penetration and get to the foul line, and we did that.

The transition defense starts it all, not giving up easy baskets. The players have taken pride in defense. And that's good to see.

In the huddle after the third quarter, we drew up about three different plays that we wanted to use and we executed all of them perfectly for baskets to start the final quarter. Then we were able to convert once we got to the foul line. Katie Stanley is a special player, and she hit the foul shots when we needed them.
