The first quarter was ordsprog

The first quarter was a little lethargic. We did a good job of keeping the lead when we had to, and in the second half, we picked up our intensity.

We just lost our intensity in the fourth quarter. It was our fault, no excuses. We can't let the little things bother us, and that's what happened tonight. We did a good job of keeping them in front of us the first half, but we just didn't play good enough defense in the fourth quarter.

We sustained our intensity for four quarters. We started the same way we did in Glidden, but there we took our foot off the throttle in the second half and just coasted. Last night we concentrated on keeping our intensity up. We had an exceptional third quarter.

When we went to the half-court trap it bothered them and we picked up our defensive intensity. We were able to get some steals. We kept running the offense and got great shots, sometimes they just didn't fall for us but we had a good stretch at the end of the quarter.

I think we could perform a lot better. I don't think we came out and worked as hard as we could in the first half. The intensity picked up in the third quarter, which I really liked.

I think G-MU got into our heads a little bit. I thought we came out with some good intensity to start the second half. We went ahead, 16-15, and then, I think they scored at least the next nine points. Our intensity stayed the same and their intensity went up. When they got the lead, we just never came back. We just started getting long faces. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others.

I thought our second half effort was not very good. We lost our focus and our intensity. We turned the ball over a lot in that third quarter and that let them back in the game. We?re not used to playing with a lead like that, and I think we got complacent.

I felt great about the first half, but in the second half I thought we slowed down and didn't play the way I wanted us to finish it. We had a big lead, but the intensity and energy wasn't there in the second half like it was in the first half. You can work on things, but still have intensity. I felt like we didn't have any intensity.

We came out flat in the first half but then out young kids really picked up the intensity and we played great. I don't know what it is about the third quarter but we seem to play our best. I just wish we could keep it going for four quarters.

I can't say enough good things about the bench. I thought early in the game we lacked energy. Guys came in and picked it up for us; picked up our defensive intensity. It was basically the same thing in the second half. We got good shots and good offensive production from our bench.

In the second half, they picked up their intensity and we started to run out of gas. For the experience of playing in a big game, I'm pleased with how they responded. They didn't give up and die in the first quarter.

We just started putting a lot of pressure on the ball (in the fourth quarter). We were down four points going into the second half and the girls came out and picked up the intensity on all levels.

We got lazy with our defense and rebounding after jumping out to an early lead. After a halftime talk, we played harder and picked up the intensity in the second half.

We knew they were a good shooting team. In the first half we didn't get a hand up and we gave them good looks. In the second half, the defensive intensity picked up.

Dwight Littlefield

We had chances late, then we quit going to the basket. They (Seymour) played a lot better in the second half. I thought they really picked up their intensity defensively in the fourth quarter.
