This campus was suffering from a communication problem. The TV station was a good way to solve that and at the same time give kids an opportunity to take leadership roles, learn about teamwork and gain confidence in themselves.

Our main goal, No. 1, is to provide them with an opportunity to participate in a sport. Through that they learn about teamwork, they gain self-confidence. There's a lot of social benefits that go along with it, plus all the physical benefits.

Our programs are developed so each child is given an opportunity to learn, perform and gain confidence. We guarantee each child a role, and an opportunity to be challenged and develop as an actor. By creating original scripts, we can insure that each child is awarded a role that will give them ample stage time and a role suited to developing their skill sets.

We want to use the radio station as a teaching tool to introduce media to kids from Kermit, Texas. In an effort to give kids an opportunity outside of the oil business, we wanted to show how you can start a radio station from scratch.

Orientation is very important because students who don't have a lot of experience on campus need the opportunity to come to campus and to learn where things are and the resources that they have on campus and the things we have for them to be involved and become a true part of campus if they are able to do so.

The children get so excited to be on campus and around college students. I have seen so much growth from the kids in just the two hours we spend with them. They become more vocal and gain a rise in their self-confidence.

In the stages of growing and developing that teamwork and trust for each other on the defensive end of the floor, you have to help them believe that you're going to get there. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. It's not just the (wins). They can see the results in different possessions. And as they gain confidence possession by possession, they see themselves beating good teams.

It's a great opportunity. It's really exciting but at the same time, it's a little overwhelming. But I've coached under some good guys and played under some good coaches so hopefully this will be my opportunity to give back to the kids.

I think someone who takes the presidency must not take it to learn. (There is) a crisis of leadership and it needs someone who understands already the depth of human suffering and the difficulties we are confronted with. There's no time for learning.

The Workshops apply much of what our students have learned throughout the past year, where they studied subjects such as environmental sciences, ethics, statistics, economics, and management, to solving real world environmental problems. Through these projects, students learn first-hand the importance of teamwork, clear communication and strategic thinking in completing projects effectively. Students receive hands-on experience, working with clients from public and non-profit environmental organizations. Our program places a premium on learning by doing. Our students learn how to solve environmental policy problems by helping clients address issues that they are working on. Everyone wins ? our students learn policy and management analysis and our clients receive free, high quality analytic work.

I felt it was important to give law enforcement an opportunity to let us know what they were doing in a friendly environment and for us to share with them our concerns. It's going to take cooperation from all of us to solve the problem though. We have to step up and help them help them us.

It really is enjoyable working with the young men and watching them learn. Scouting builds character, teamwork and leadership.

Teamwork is critical. If you have any downtime, you need to connect in some way with guests at someone else's tables, see if you can assist. I have great confidence in my co-workers; I know they all give good service.

All of these kids certainly learn about teamwork.

Because many of us have won at different levels, and we just come out with a confidence that in time we'll learn how to win out here. It's a confidence factor we've been taught since we were kids.
