Pittsburgh really came at us hard, had us scrambling there. They crowded the net, too. There were a lot of shots I didn't see.

Being from Pittsburgh had a little to do with hiring him, because we had coaches in the past who didn't believe in Pittsburgh the way Bill and Chuck Noll do. They thought Pittsburgh was a special place.

We're so uptight half the darn time. And you can't blame us. We're playing at a level where we had three big games against three great teams and we needed to play hard. For me, it's a breath of fresh air when we make a couple of shots from the outside. That takes a lot of pressure off me and my game. Before we make some shots, everything has to go inside and it's just too crowded. When our guards make some outside shots, we're able to move some stuff around better.

We played hard and we contained Elliott, which is what we wanted to do. But we didn't hit shots from the field. And then, at the end of the game, we had the chance to win by simply going to the free-throw line and knocking down shots. I thought we put ourselves in a good position. We just didn't execute.

I saw a kid I liked right out of the blue. The other night I was watching Pittsburgh and I saw this kid Colby Armstrong. Pittsburgh's going nowhere. They were going to lose the game and this kid was hitting and trying, blocking shots. He gets nailed at centre ice and bounced right up. He's playing like it's the seventh game of the Stanley Cup. I just love it when I see guts like that.
