I played a lot ordsprog

en I played a lot of different combos than I usually do, because I wanted to make sure the seniors got a lot of playing time. I put some players at different positions just so I could get them in, so it kind of threw our offensive movement off a bit. I was pleased overall with the effort, and we got out of it with no injuries.

en I'm pleased with our effort from our seniors, and pleased that our players didn't give in to all the injuries and suspensions. We kept fighting, that what I'm pleased with, but nobody likes to lose.

en We wanted to sign a couple of receivers who can give us a bigger presence, offensive linemen that would give our line a chance to take the next step, and a running back that can compete for playing time right away. Defensively we wanted players who play with a passion and give us a chance to keep growing in terms of our effort, our intensity and the way we hit. The players we signed certainly fit into these categories.

en Against Arkansas State, it was the first time our players stepped on the playing field to competitively play our new system. I'm pleased with the way the players adjusted to playing the different positions. Our defense was solid and the offense created lots of scoring opportunities.

en I've never been through something like that, but I'm pleased with the effort our seniors gave us and pleased our players kept fighting and wouldn't give in, despite all the adversity.

en I was extremely pleased today, especially with the defensive effort and the unselfishness of our players. I'm going to show the guys the tape of the first half and make sure they know that they are capable of playing like that every time out. You can't play much better than we did tonight.

en In the postseason, it's still a team effort but the postseason is the time for your seniors to step up and be seniors, to make those plays. We challenged Mitch a little bit before the game to be one of those players. I thought he responded.

en We came out and played a strong game from the start. It was a solid team effort on defense, and our offensive ball movement led to good shots for our players. Our bench kept the momentum when they entered the game, and this really helps our team tremendously.

en We could hear Davidson down the hall partying and yelling and screaming. I think he wanted it to light a fire under us. ... The seniors just wanted to make sure this wasn't the last time we all played together, the last time this team was going to be together. And we made that point to each other.

en One of our goals was to have good effort and I was pleased with our effort. The players played hard and I was pleased with the turnout of fans. We had a good atmosphere.

en What I wanted from them is what I got. I wanted the effort to win and if you give the effort, that?s all you can do. No one expected a team that?s 9-11 to come out and beat a team that?s 19-1. Nobody. If we could have done just a little bit better job in execution and had some more continuity on the offensive end, I thought we could have played with them.

en I was real pleased that we didn't give in, we played hard the whole game. We hung in there and we got a lot of people playing time because we are still looking at people in different positions.

en I was pleased with our effort. We could mail it in at anytime. They made runs at us and our kids kept playing hard, and I was very appreciative of that. I can't ask too much more of our players. They are giving me the best effort they have.

en We have nine starting positions up for grabs on offense. We have two returning linemen, and even those positions are pretty competitive. In all my years, we've never had this many [starting positions open]. We had no sophomores that played varsity last year. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. We also graduated 50 seniors, so there are a lot of open positions.

en I've been really pleased with our younger kids as a whole. A lot of these younger players have earned more playing time and are making big impacts on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
