It feels good just to get a tough game like that and be in that situation to make some free throws and come out on top finally.

They are a tough team to play, and they are even tougher to play in a smaller pool like ours. It should be a really good game. Also, it is our last home game of the year, and it is senior day. Even if the weather is not that great, we are hoping for a big crowd to give us that extra edge.

I just realized a couple of things [that] I never would think about it ... if I wasn't in this situation. How hard I hit the mound coming off. And that's not even half the effort [I would exert in a game]. It's trying to be smooth, trying to be cautious and trying to think about the things I'm doing. I can't really imagine what it would be on a good night, fully loaded and trying to get a tough hitter in a situation.

Both teams threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other and that's always the way it is when we play Fitchburg. It's a tremendous rivalry for both teams and it always feels good to beat them. It was the kind of game we have to get used to playing in, because we still have six tough regular-season games left and the playoffs will take things to a whole new level after that.

She?s definitely frustrated about not being able to play as many minutes in practice and in games as she would like to, but I think she?s handling it really well. As long as she just stays positive, like she is, and does as much as she can, that?s all we can ask for. If you were playing on an opponent's home court in a do-or-die situation, how would you come out and play? So to put a gauge on how bad they're going to want this game and in our house, and how hard they're going to fight to get loose balls. It will probably be at the highest level.

You play this game to play, ... It feels that much sweeter when you are on the field. ... To have that situation play out the way it did, it's an emotional high.

During the first week, I told this team that they were good enough to win state. They just needed to buy into the system. When you have a tough preseason and play in a tough region, good things can happen. And good things happened.

Every shift you're out there, people are watching to see if you're capable of playing at this level. Handling the pressure situation which the team is in right now is a good thing for me. I'm hoping I can play the style of game that got me this far and hopefully there will be a spot for me in the near future.

Last year, I came in as a freshman just hoping to play and I had a good season. This year, I know that everyone expects me to do certain things, but I try not to think about it. I just go out there with a fresh mind and hopefully have a good game day by day.
