I like the project they're doing -- a new building -- and we need to build on the arts and support our younger artists.

The Arts are our cause, and helping them is our mission. Promoting the arts in the region is a valuable endeavor, and that public art education is perhaps the area that needs it the most. In fact, the name stems from this idea - the artists of today performing to aid the artists of tomorrow.

Building the program at Collingwood, we've had a lot of the younger students come out to support us. You can really see that the younger kids are looking up to the senior boys. They've become role models within the school, which is great to see.

We began last year with the computer science department and this year we wanted to expand and support other departments such as linguistics, arts administration and economy. For example we have documents that need translation as a project, or an office decoration project, and others depending on what we want and what they need.

It's not a surprise to us. He told us at the beginning of the safety project that he might want to do this. We can't deny him the building permit, based on where we think the service road will go. He has every right to ... build this building.

The centre needs to become the symbol of unification of all artists in Namibia, irrespective of race, religion and creed. Many artists still operate to a large extent in isolation. This is not good for themselves and national patriotism per se. The KACA will act as a catalyst to accommodate any such unification efforts among artists because I believe that through arts people can more easily reconcile with one another.

There are a lot of local artists and we have a lot of activities. I think we bring a lot of tourists because of the importance of the arts here and people are thinking about Beaufort County. Not only about our beautiful scenery but also about the arts.

In architecture as in all other operative arts, the end must direct the operation. The end is to build well. Well building has three conditions: Commodity, Firmness and Delight.

We have invited four artists to participate, ... We have given them a site walk-through and a general overview of the project, of what we are building, so they have a visual understanding of the setting and the backdrop.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be contributed to the startup nonprofit to help it get off the ground. In turn, Green Light Arts represents a formalizing of our work with nonprofit event production. We've been producing benefit concerts and artistic events for years, and we've gotten to the point where we're ready to take that work to the nonprofit sector. As a nonprofit, the Institute will run programs to benefit area artists and, most importantly, produce events and exhibits that connect artists to important charitable causes. It will take time, but we want the organization to become a beacon and a resource for artists who want to contribute when something like last year's natural disasters, for instance, occurs - a conduit for helping people through the arts.

People will enjoy the newer and younger artists. The last couple of years we got into a little bit of a rut featuring the same artists. There is a lot of talent out there.

With a focus on Omaha, we've designed an evening incorporating outstanding local artists and ensembles along with national touring artists, with something for everyone to enjoy. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness.
