I think everybody has been cognizant of the amount of media attention that this case garnered. (The jury) are people. They are people like you, they are people like me. We're all going to be influenced to some extent by peer pressure. And I think that some of that has bearing in this case. ... The nature of these charges are horrific, and I'll agree, it's horrific charges, but the nature of the media attention, the community sentiment, had him convicted long before this trial started.

en People are trying to divide us, saying that we don't want to play with Allen. That's not the case. Allen provides so much for this team. There's this perception that we don't like playing with him ... We love playing with Allen and Chris [Webber].

en Allen's numbers are high, and you're going to need a huge amount of money to make a case against him. And since Allen has not been involved in any disputes, and doesn't seem to have any ethical controversies surrounding him, I don't see how you can make a case against him. And therefore it would be more of a symbolic race to give Democratic voters an excuse to go to the polls versus having any real chance of unseating an incumbent.

en If Claude Allen committed the crime, he should pay the penalty. But it does strike me as odd that Allen would go to jail for stealing from budget department stores while George Bush and Dick Cheney go free after years of fraud, deceit and deception to the American people.

en He's not paying the people in East Alabama any attention. He's doing what he wants to do in Montgomery but he needs to pay the whole state some attention about the gas prices.

en The change of management had nothing to do with the Allen report at all. This process was talked about several months ago, before the Allen report was brought to our attention.

en If anyone doesn't think that the medical malpractice system in Wisconsin isn't melting down, they're just not paying attention. We've lost the cap, and in this case, we've lost the only protection that remained, which was the statute of limitations.

en We finally got some confidence back. They also did a better job of paying attention to what was going on around them. We'll take it and build to next (race). We know we're still on the outside looking in to get out (for state).

en New information has come to the attention of the state, as this investigation has proceeded, to require the court to consider denial of bond. The character and strength of the state's case has increased since the last time bail was considered, including the addition of an eyewitness.

en This is the fourth year in a row now that the Allen Tournament has been altered by rain. I know that's frustrating for Allen.

en It was a case where they had to pick their poison. I heard them argue about what to do against us. Allen and I have been playing well lately. They have been talking this the last year and a half. We're glad that we played well tonight.

en When the big-screen TV hit the thousands last year, everybody was paying attention. I don?t think ?intense? is the right word, but it had everyone?s attention. The auction benefits the YMCA, and people can get a top-quality item. It?s a win-win situation for everyone.

en That right there is the epitome of a game that your team is not focused on playing. Do you really think they were paying attention to North Dakota State, when they've got the rest of their Big Ten games to concern themselves with?
