If we don't act now there won't be a major fresh and processed food industry in this country in 20 years,

We serve no more processed food. There's fresh fruit and vegetables every day.

We talked to a lot of very talented people and when all was said and done, we wanted someone with a deep frozen food background and someone that would fit in Jackson County. Pat has a tremendous background in the frozen food industry and has been with major food manufacturers over the last 25 years.

For schools like this, cooking fresh food every day would be impossible because the facilities we have got are set up to reheat food. It would be great if the government were to give us the money for a new kitchen, to make fresh food for 380 children each day, but I'm not so sure that is going to happen.

The federal government needs to see this (shortage) as being important for safe food, disease control and the economic viability of the food industry in this country.

Rather than devouring water, food, energy, and processed goods, and then belching out the remains as pollutants, the city could align its consumption with realistic needs, produce more of its own food and energy, and put much more of its waste to use.

The trend in consumer taste is actually helping convenience food because they want grab and go food. But it's actually hurting the cereal industry. And as an industry leader, Kellogg is suffering.
