I understand Equity's position, ... but my heart goes out to the actors who were going to get to go to Ireland with the show. It's a group of fine actors who would have had a chance to be exposed to the international stage. I would have paid great money to see [Rea] do it, and I would have paid great money to see these actors do it with him

It's quite an exercise for the actors. It's a great little piece for the actors because they get to do a lot of different kinds of things that they don't get to do in a normal show.

Almost 50 percent of the work actors used to do for television is gone. Broadcast stations are all about money -- with reality shows they don't have to pay actors, or writers, and no sets are needed.

When you get great actors like that turning up and not being paid, then they all come for the right reason. They all come to play and they all come to enjoy the characters.

You can think of Hollywood as high school. TV actors are freshmen, comedy actors are maybe juniors, and dramatic actors - they're the cool seniors.

Owen Wilson (1968-)

These are actors that I think have a Fox kind of feel. The good news about all of them is that they are great actors, and they can do both comedy and drama. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. Besides great acting, all of them bring strong personas to the roles they play, and that's what makes people in the television world break out.

The work is a set of five vignettes, sketches. The actors do everything. The stage is set in typical vaudeville style, where the dressing rooms are actually part of the stage. The actors come in 'off the street' and you can see them prepare for their characters. It is a remarkable set.

There's so many things I want to do. I want to work with great filmmakers, great actors, great scripts. And there's no reason for me to do anything short of that, because I'm 24, I don't have a family, I don't need to make tons of money, and I'm not dying to get famous.

Actors don't do a good job worrying about their finances. It's difficult because you do not work consistently week after week. You may be very well paid for a job that lasts 10 weeks. Then you're unemployed and you haven't put any money aside.

Conard Fowkes (1933-)

I try to keep away from being bigheaded. That's what causes people to lose the acting thing. They start being commercial, and then they stink for the rest of their life. But there are several respected adult actors who were child actors that started very young. I'm going to try and model myself after Kurt Russell and Jodie Foster. Just keep learning from the role and not just go for the money.
