I am both stunned and appalled that Pat Robertson would claim to know the mind of God concerning whether particular events ... were the judgments of God.

Coming into the season we thought Robertson was going to be one of the better teams in the district. They hit Katie as good as anybody has this year. We were stunned after that first inning. I can't say enough about the way they hit the ball.

There isn't a person in this industry who isn't appalled by these events.

It's very clear to us that these are really campaign events designed to get the governor re-elected. All people of faith have every right to take a position, but to claim that these are not political events is simply false.

Robertson later said he meant a regime change, not an assassination, ... It's fair to say, however, that most Americans disagree with what Rev. Robertson said.

We would hope that good Christian leaders would distance themselves from Pat Robertson's remarks. It is pure arrogance for Robertson to suggest that he has divine knowledge of God's intent and purpose based on his interpretation of scripture.

The Christian Coalition has definitely decreased in influence. But Robertson, as an individual, continues to inspire a lot of loyalty among far-right activists. There's no question that Robertson has significant influence.
