It's not the first time that people have tried to make it through up there under those conditions. A lot of times, smugglers will tell these guys, 'It's gonna be a half-hour walk. Don't worry about it.

The message has to be that we're gonna hunt you down and we're gonna find you and we're gonna make you pay that price, ... We're not gonna let you attack our people innocent people and walk away, because if we do there will be more attacks.

This is the second time someone dies this year; it's extremely dangerous. People that pay smugglers can expect things like this to happen because the smugglers aren't looking out for people.

For making the ice, we made sure we have allowed ourselves enough time so that we are not going to get ourselves jammed into a corner. We are going to be patient to make ice in the best way -- the best way to make a solid layer of ice is you layer it a little bit at a time and you don't rush it. You don't go up there and dump 1,200 gallons and walk away and wait for it to freeze. We do it in small layers with a hose and a fine mist, and hour after hour.

We have a situation where we try to look at practice times that might fit for guys, who might have an hour on Tuesday or an hour on Wednesday. In that hour we may only get six or seven or eight guys.

You worry at this time of the year that you get a little bit hesitant, a little bit tentative, and it becomes a walk-it-up, grind-it-out game. I don?t want it to be like that. I just want to go and run up and down the floor and make some plays and see what happens ? that?s when we?re at our best.

When you have a first half like that nine times out of 10 you're gonna have good lead. Guys are coming out with a sense of urgency the positive thing about that is that it's happening now.

Allen Iverson (1975-)

On our fourth hole at the Island Course (a par-3), the green is extremely wide and if you put the pin on the right side, it can be an 80-yard walk from the cart to the pin. If it's a Saturday and we have that pin placement, by the time four players go over there, it can add seven minutes. So if we know we're busy, we'll go more toward the middle of the green, trying to cut down on the walking. We do the same thing with tee markers. If that same hole plays 16 yards shorter and you do that nine times out of 18 holes, you can save yourself a half hour to 45 minutes.

While drug smugglers are invisible for the most part, people smugglers are visible, working right in front of authorities.

The first half-hour and the last hour of the day are simply down times. If we can cut out an hour from our day, it saves payroll, it saves money we spend on gas.

I don't worry about what guys make. You worry about the contribution they make to your team. That's the thing that's most important. Because guys are making a lot of money doesn't always equate to wins.
