We didn't do a very good job of playing through each other or through the people we should have been. And then we got cold. They were hitting shots and mainly it was a lot of defensive problems. But sometimes your offense is a part of the problem.

The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half.

I thought that we started with [defensive] good intensity. But it just seemed to me that when our shots are not going, it seems to affect us on both ends of the court. They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

We were tired and they started hitting shots. They're a good shooting team, they have a lot of weapons on offense and we didn't match up well with that.

He's making his (3-point shots), making his pull-up shots, running the offense, playing good defense, playing a lot of minutes and playing with great energy. I couldn't be happier with the way he's playing. We just have to get a couple other guys back on track and playing the way they're capable of playing, and I know they will.

I think we are still playing part good and part bad, ... He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. When we executed our offense, we got a lot of layups and when we didn't they just jumped on our backs and started firing from every part on the floor. They were killing us like in a shooting drill.

In the tournament, we've been an offensive juggernaut. We've been good. But that's not our team. We play D and we rebound. I think we got a little fooled from our first two games, because we played really well offensively, that we didn't have to bring it on the defensive end. I never talk about offense. I talk about D. So when those shots didn't go in today, I think we were a little stunned.

When we went to the half-court trap it bothered them and we picked up our defensive intensity. We were able to get some steals. We kept running the offense and got great shots, sometimes they just didn't fall for us but we had a good stretch at the end of the quarter.

We can't pinpoint the problem - we're just not knocking down shots. We're getting good shots and not hitting them. We're turning the ball over. That's not the way we play.

We've got to come out with a better defensive attitude. Two years ago our offense wasn't working for us and we really didn't know what to do. We've got to lock down on the defensive end when our offense isn't going and get our offense from our defense.

I think they got hot from the outside and started hitting a lot of 3s. No. 40 (Kristin Hein) hit a lot of good shots, a lot of jumpers around the basket. We were sending everybody to the boards when they were on offense. They're so tall and they were able to kick it out to the perimeter and were knocking down shots.
