Anybody who is competing with an Asian supplier is going to have a real profit problem, ... We've seen a continuation of American corporations announcing either that their customers in Asia can't pay or that their competitors in Asia are cutting prices, so it's really tough on the industrial sector.

All American companies that provide high tech products and also capital equipment for the Asian economic miracle are going to be hurt because there's an adjustment process that has to be gone through in Asia. It's going to take two to three years, and in the meantime they're going to see lower sales in Asia.

I think we are in a correction that was way overdue. There has been tremendous complacency by strategists about the Asia problem and even up until last week everyone was raising their targets. The Asia problem is real.

For us, Asia has been an opportunity to grow our business. We believe we've got a very good model inside Toll to offer customers an integrated supply chain capability. We don't think that has been serviced very well right across Asia.
