It was a solid lap, ... We spent the first hour in race trim knowing the weather might be bad on Saturday. On our next run, we went out for speed and that put us on top of the board. We went back out and moved it up again on the list. We picked up the same amount of time. It was all about going out there and trying to be smooth on the lap. It was a good day all the way around.

If you're riding for more than an hour at a time, you need some kind of nutrition to keep you going. The food should be high in carbohydrates and low in fat. Energy gels and bars are good choices, but not all cyclists can tolerate these during their ride.

He's a really tough horse to ride. We want Rose to stay with him, but he probably has another call in the race. That's the problem because he seemed to do so well with him last time.
