Our goals for the program are the same, continue to operate with a high regard for integrity and academic accomplishment, as well as reaffirming our spot as champions of Conference USA and contend for a BCS bowl. Our goal here is to win conference championships on a regular basis without sacrificing academic integrity, and we're certainly in position to start doing that with the football program.

I am very pleased with the team's academic performance. This accomplishment goes hand-in-hand with our program's goals of being successful on the field and in the classroom.

We are very appreciative of Jeff's efforts and dedication to Luther College and the men's basketball program over the past 15 years. Under Jeff's leadership, the men's basketball program has been competitive, continually displayed a high level of integrity, and enriched the lives of our student-athletes both on and off the basketball court.

Coach Groh has provided strong leadership for the university's football program, and we want to ensure continuity in its future academic and athletic successes.

Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. The girls were excited but not satisfied. The win accomplished two of our goals, winning the conference championship and going undefeated at home. We cut down the nets and celebrated some, but it wasn't wild. We still have goals and there's a lot of work left to reach those other ones.

Nevertheless we want to address the concerns raised by the NAACP in the press as expeditiously as possible, ... If there is something there, we will deal with it. If not, we want to clear the program's name. We do not want unspecified allegations to impugn the integrity of a program that has been held in high regard locally and nationally.

I don't worry about the polls, but I think any time you're ranked high it's a compliment to your players and your program and it's challenging and we look forward to trying to do better. We have our own goals and they can't be any higher than anybody else's goals for us.

It's a great night for Rogers to honor a group of guys that have helped take the program to another level. They've laid a foundation necessary to reach this year's goals and the goals in the future.

Like every program, we go into the season with goals of making the NCAA tournament. That is our number one goal, to make it to the Field of 64. They are pretty lofty goals, but you have to aim high.

That's not how we operate. As a football program, we don't condone activities such as that. Obviously, it detracts from the bowl game and what the spirit of football is all about.

Every program has goals and you have to decide, do you still have the same goals, because when you look around at what's happened in the first two weeks, a lot of very good football teams have lost. I don't think at this stage anybody is out of anything unless you've lost two games.

The bottom line is that we have very high expectations for our men's basketball program and we believe that a change in the direction of the program is warranted at this time in order to achieve those goals.
